“Networks and WWW”
🌐What is a network?
It is a group of devices that are linked together through communication in order to facilitate resource-sharing among a wide range of users.
🌐Types of networks:
LAN (Local Area Network):
It spans a relatively small area and it can be connected to other LANs over any distance via telephone line and radio waves.
MAN (Metropolitan Area Network):
Spans an entire city or campus, it is formed when multiple LANs are connected; extremely efficient providing fast communication, they are used to build networks with high data connections.
WAN (Wide Area Network):
Exists over a large-scale geographical area, connects smaller networks, is used for larger geographical areas.
WWW:

It is a network of online content formatted in HTML and accessed via HTTP. Often referred simply as “the web”.
🌐It was originally designed in 1991 by Tim Berners Lee.
